I am having problems joining Windows XP SP2 on a Windows 2000 Domain. When I
try to join it I get the below message on the client.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: This information is intended for a network administrator. If you are
not your network's administrator, notify the administrator that you received
this information, which has been recorded in the file
C:\WINDOWS\debug\dcdiag.txt.

The domain name (DomainName) might be a NetBIOS domain name. If this is the
case, verify that the domain name is properly registered with WINS.

If you are certain that the name is not a NetBIOS domain name, then the
following information can help you troubleshoot your DNS configuration.

DNS was successfully queried for the service location (SRV) resource record
used to locate a domain controller for domain (DomainName):
The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.(DomainName)
The following domain controllers were identified by the query:
dc2
dc1
Common causes of this error include:
- Host (A) records that map the name of the domain controller to its IP
addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.
- Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or
are not running.

I tried running the nltest /dsgetdcDomainName) and I get
DsGetDcName failed: Status = 1355 0x54b ERROR_NO_SUCH_DOMAIN

I can add a Windows 2000 client to the domain on the same network but not
any XP PC's. Running an NS Lookup looks good too.

C:\DOS>nslookup
Default Server: (DomainServer.DomainName)
Address: 10.64.1.21

I have also ran other Windows support tools and got the below info.

I'm not sure what else to try. I have seen other issues on the internet sort
of related and everyone says to look at DNS. Everything looks fine with DNS.
Any other suggestions?
