cannot install

Trying to install ZAP4 from CD; message says I (administrator) do not have
access to change configuration. I feel there may be corruption in Registry.
Would like 2nd or more opinion. I attempted to do a clean install by using
the uninstall function. I don't think the uninstall was complete as I am
getting a message that "True Vector" has failed. Zone Labs says it's not
their problem.
They say it's in my OS which is XP Home.

Start | Run | Services.msc |

Check the entries for "True Vector Basic Logging Client" and "True Vector
Monitor Engine", if they are not loaded, the entries
should show "stopped" instead of "Started" (you may see something different
with Zone Alarm Pro)

Also "Start | Run | msconfig": The Services tab should show them as
"stopped" if not loaded.

(Be sure to follow the instructions in
http://www.zonelabs.com/services/support_install_XP.htm if you wish to
uninstall ZA Pro).
