Cannot install programs

This is weird and I need help. Hopefully someone has run
into this one before. I am trying to install a program, I
double-click on the setup.exe and the program shows in the
Task Manager as a process running in the background but
will not go any further than that. I do not see anything
unusual in the group policy so I have really need some
help figuring this out. Thanks.

Try installing as an administrator. If you can then the
problem is the local security policy which by default does
not allow users to add programs.

Add the user to the local admin group on the machine and
load the programs then remove them from the local admin
group if you don't want them to have this authority.

If this doesn't work then check the event viewer under the
to look for an error.

I was logged into the server as an administrator, that's
the problem. I have never run into this one before. I
looked at the security policy and there hasn't been any
changes. Recently some programs will install, and then
other ones won't. Weird...
