cannot install any programs

i am running win xp pro and after installing mozilla firefox i download
programs but cannot install them i get an error saing cannot open to write
and its always the exe file. im not sure if its a security issue i have tried
everything i know but am still at a loss any help would be greatly
appreciated

Hi,

have you made it your default browser instead of IE7? have you admin rights?
