Cannot go into a users profile - loading personal settings...

Hello

We have Windows 2000 Pro workstations and Windows 2000 server with active
directory. On one PC if we log in as a particular user, gets to loading
personal settings... and just gets stuck at that point.

If we log in on another Windows 2000 workstation with this same user then it
logs in OK. If we log into the problem PC with a different user then it
logs in OK.

So we have a problem with one particular user account on one particular
computer.

How can we fix this problem?

Logon as local administrator and try deleting the user local profile.

The problem account is a domain account. Not a local account.

Perhaps I misunderstand you. If so can you explain a little more.

Do you use roaming profiles? If not Control Panel|System|Advanced|User
Profiles|Settings find the user's domain profile and delete it.
