Cannot get two networked desktops to access internet

I recently installed High speed internet cable service. I have two
workstations using windows 2000 pro. The two workstations are networked using
a linsys 4 port switch. My network cards are set to obtain IP addresses
automatically. My networking seems ok (I can acccess either workstation's
shared files, etc.).

The problem I have is that I cannot access the internet from both
simultaneaously. I can access the internet from just one of the workstations
at a time (I must reset my cable router and turn off my first workstations if
I want to access the internet from the other workstation).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Simply using a switch plugged into the cable modem will not work. You will
need a NAT device that provides internet access when you have only 1 public
ip. Linksys makes several that you can pick up at your local computer
resource.
