Cannot get to any Earthlink sites,but everywhere else...

Whenever I try to get to my home page, earthlink.net, or
any other earthlink site, says Page not available. This is
only happening on my computer, not other computers in
house. Downloaded Netscape and tried, but have the same
problem. I can go to any and all other sites on web.
Contacted earthlink and they said something wrong in my
computer.

Can anyone please advise me? I can't get to my webmail.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

Can you ping the site?
At a DOS prompt execute
PING sitename.com
Do you get a positive response?
