I am running Windows XP, and have just bought a webcam.
The installation fails with a message: cannot find
operating USB Port.

How can I enable my usb port??

A couple of things to do,
1. Boot into your BIOS and check that the USB port is Enabled,
2. Down load and install SP1(Service Pack 1)
3. Check to see if your webcam is a USB2 port user,
If it is you will need a USB2 cable and probably an updated driver.
4. Try plugging in the webcam after XP is up and running,
to see if XP can find a driver.
