cannot find server

i use compuserve and within the last 2 months or so, cannot
connect to microsoft,etc through explorer. message: cannot
find server/page cannot be displayed.

i can connect to other secure sites using my favorites.

does anyone have an answer? meanwhile, i can't access any
office updates. windows updates download automatically.

try technet for a link to some updates, scan your pc for
trojans.
