Hi, am using WINXP home edition; have Bellsouth DSL; for the past 3 days I
cannot access anything via Internet Explorer 6. Problem seems to have
developed AFTER a dsl momentary shutdown. Currently I am accessing the web
via AOL. I need to find out what caused this problem and how to fix it.
HELP. Thanks.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Have you rebooted the DSL modem? Unplug it from power for one minute and
then plug it back in and allow it to reset itself. This will only take a
minute or two. See if this fixes your issue. If not, then give the folks
at Bellsouth a call, it's free.
