cannot find exe file

Susan Gemmer

When I click on "my computer" and then click on
C:directory, I get a message that says cannot find cdrun
exe file. I know I messed this up after downloading a
program from web. THis program seemed to put files all
over my documents folder. I may have copied the cdrun
file to c drive thinking I needed it. Can you help me. I
found a fix for "Windows cannot find Autorun.exe". I was
able to delete one from C: drive, but the icon does not
show in "document settings/owner" file where "search" says
it resides. Same thing in "my computer" file. The only
way I can access the C: files is to go to say "word pad"
and click on "open" and then go to C:

Can you help me?

Susan,

Delete the file autorun.inf in the C:\ drive. If this does not help, run a System Restore.
