windows cannot find exe files

I have recently been trying to remove a trojan horse virus
on my home computer which runs Windows XP home version. I
thought that I had completey gotten rid of the virus, but
now none of the programs will run. I get the message that
the file cannot be found. Even when I go directly to the
exe file and double click on it, it says it cannot file
the file. Any suggestions?

Well, you can clear out all the virus files, but that
won't repair the damaged caused by the virus files.
