Cannot download

Hello, I have encountered a problem where I am not able to
download anything. Every time I attempt to download
something, I get an error message that says "Internet
Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The
requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please try again later." This has happened on multiple
sites (at least 6) that have no connection to each other.
Previous to the problem, I had not downloaded anything for
about a week. In addition I have done a virus check that
did not help. I have checked my internet security
settings and that did not help. I tried updating my
Internet Explorer browser. I am up to date on Microsoft
patches and I have tried rebooting the computer multiple
times. I have a Roadrunner cable connection and another
computer on the same router is not having any problems. I
am running Windows 2000 Professional. Any help with this
problem would be greatly appreciated.

I found a link on that site that fixed the problem. My
temporary internet files folder was full. Thanks a lot
for your help.
