cannot download spybot or adaware

help! whenever i try to download the anti-spyware stuff (free) windows sends
me a message saying to PLEASE LOGIN WITH USER AND PASS. since i am the
computer's administrator i have no idea what it means.

Glad you problem is sorted. I don't use any Norton products, so didn't know
what NIS decides to block.

If you have NIS installed, there is no need to install any other free (crap) products. NIS is sufficient protection especially when you don't visit sordid sites as Michael Stevens does! Michael is fond of visiting undesireable sites because of his connection with the underworld. He provides links to piracy tool which enables criminal to pirate M$ products).

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
