cannot download MSN Games

I use a DSL connection with SBC Yahoo. Recently my IE Explorer quit working, along with the SBC Yahoo Browser. I began using MSN Explorer and Netscape to nagivate online, both of which have seemed to work ok

However, MSN Games quit working for me. So I uninstalled the MSN Games program with the intention of doing a clean re-install. However, when I go to a room and it gives me the option to download the necessary software, it simply sits there loading interminably. There is no progress bar that appears. One time, after about half an hour or more, I got an error message saying that I was missing the following file: http://fdl.msn.com/zone/datafiles/zextract.exe. Sometimes I also get an error saying that an incomplete version of MSN Games is detected

If anyone has any ideas on getting MSN Games or IE Explorer working, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Josh,

Use these Internet Explorer Settings to connect to Zone.com: http://www3.sympatico.ca/nibblesnbits/EnterRooms.html#IE

Most Problems can be solved by Reinstalling Zone Software: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/EnterRooms.html#rezone and...

use this troubleshooter for problems accessing all or parts
of Zone.com : http://NibblesNbitsEnterZone.tk

Thanks for your response

When I follow the instructions to set the the proper IE settings, I am unable to delete the temporary files. When I press the button to delete, an hour glass appears and stays there permanently. Then everything locks up, and I have to get the task manager to end the browser to get control of my computer again. I've tried it several times, always with this result

Hi Josh,

Since it's freezing, go into Internet Options / click Settings...
/ click View Files... / select only about 20 files at a time and
delete them. That should help you resolve this issue. :)
