Cannot download Macromedia Flash Player ?

Hi guys,
need some help please. I have been trying to download Macromedia Flash
Player, even though I have set my security and privacy controls to the
lowest setting to allow cookies I just can't download it. I go through the
routine and click download and nothing happens. Any ideas please. Help

You may have folders or files missing.
You need:
C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files
and
c:\Windows\System32\MacroMed

which is where the plugins are installed.
You need to enable ActiveX (esp signed) ones to install them, nothing
to do with cookies.

Do you have an antivirus running? if so what? Download Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com and
Spybot Search & Destroy www.safer-networking.net and scan with both of those
programs.

Also scan for viruses here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and delete any
viruses shown.

Hi Guys (bear with me)
I have found the folder and Macromedia Player is in it, but when I try to
open it, all I get is a blank panel, yet I can open java applets. Right I
know I have alot to learn. It warns me about opening up active X controls
then ......nothing. Can you throw some light on it for me. Apreaciated
