Cannot download .exe files

Hi
I am using broadband services in India with 256kbps bandwidth. I cannot
download any
..exe files from any of my browsers, say, IE7 or Opera or Firefox. So
far I have been using Reliance internet services not broadband but
dialup. I didn't find any problem then. Is there any problem with my
system or any problem at the service providers end? Please help.

What happens when you try? (exactly)

If you think is a problem with IE7 Beta, then please try the IE7
newsgroup:
I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
