I've used all the procedures to delete it from my system
and even read prev. message posted here about
article#263455 (however it only applies to Windows ME).
Does anybody know how to completely eliminate the trojan
horse?

Symantec details list it as Trojan.bootconf or
Trojan.Qhosts.A

Are you familiar with it?

I've never had a trojan horse on any computer I've owned, so, no, I'm not
familiar with it. Why not use your antivirus software to clean it out? If,
for some reason, that doesn't resolve the problem, ask the author of your
antivirus program how to get rid of it.

You can remove any program file by renaming it, rebooting, then deleting. Because you've renamed it, it can't be found on a reboot.
