Removing Infected files from _Restore Folder

In Knowledge Base article # 263455 there is a FIFO
procedure executed on the data store described that will
assist in the removal of infected files from the _Restore
directory. The article applies to Windows Me systems
because it deals with the System Restore feature.

Can the same procedure be used to clean the data store in
XP System Restore folder?

Create a restore point then use Disk Cleanup to remove all but the last one.
