Cannot delete temporary files from CD burner

I get the following message when trying to delete
temporary files after burning a CD:
Cannot delete file: It is being used by another person or
program. Close any programs that might be using the file
and try again.

The only program I have open is Windows Explorer. I don't
know why I keep getting this message. I need to get rid
of these files so I can burn a different CD.

Hi, Max.

CD-R? Or CD-RW?

There are several variations, but the basic idea is that CD-R can be written
only once and never deleted. CD-RW can be erased and re-written, but it
requires "packet-writing" software, such as Nero's InCD.

If you want better advice than that, please include some details of your
hardware and software - and media - in your next post.

Where are these temporary files and what software are you using to burn and
id you google for this problem with your software package?

I'm running WinXP Pro on a Pentium 4 PC. My burner is a
fairly new LG 52x32x52x & I'm just using the simple drag
and drop burning functionality in the Windows Explorer.

I actually just realized what my problem is... the only
files that I can't delete are Adobe Illustrator files.
Recently I've been having problems with Illustrator
crashing and running out of memory very quickly. Any
Ideas on how I can fix this>
