Cannot Delete Printer. Spooler is Running. Other Printers Can be Deleted, Added.

I need to delete a network printer from a client. When I do so, I get the
following error:

"Printer connection cannot be removed. Operation can not be completed"

This happens both in the Printers and Faxes menu, and using the command:

rundll32 printui.dll PrintUIEntry /dn /n\\machine\printer

I am running it as a local administrator on the pc. Also tried as a domain
admin.

It's a Windows 2003
domain, the print server is S2003 SP1. Printer is a new Konica Minolta.

Nothing is logged in the application or system event logs.

Other printers can be deleted or added at will. Restarting the spooler in
the services.msc gui or at the command line has had no effect.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Will

You have a print job stuck in the spooler. Stop the print spooler
service ands restart it, you should be able to delete it then.

Thanks Netman, but you'll see in my post that I've tried restarting the
print spooler.

There's no spooled job. Nothing reported in the gui, and no files in the
spool folder, either. This is something else.

Thanks, Will
