Cannot delete Guardian Antivirus in add remove programs

I have previously installed Guardian on my pc and now I cant remove the
program. I want to update to Norton with my Rogers Yahoo but, the server
tells me to remove all other antivirus first........It wont uninstall..HELP
Please!!!!

From whom did you purchase this "Guardian" application? Is it an anti-virus
application? ...security suite?

Is it listed in Add/Remove Programs? If so, what happens when you try to
uninstall it?

Hi,
It's a Guardian Worm Killer & Anti-Virus. I purchased it while on
vacation in St. Jacobs, Ont, Can. It is listed in my add-remove programs list
but, when I try to change-remove, the dialog box just blinks & it stays the
same.

Apparently it's an old Boomerang Software
(http://www.boomerangsoftware.com/) application which was superseded (years
ago?) by eXtendia AntiVirus. I'd contact them for support. Good luck.

PS eXtendia AntiVirus looks to be simply a rebranded version of Norman
AntiVirus...

....and Boomerang Software looks to be just a marketing company. I'd not be
surprised if Guardian Worm Killer & Anti-Virus was another rebranded app or
if you got no satisfaction whatsoever from Boomerang Software.
