cannot delete folder from desktop

I have a documents folder on the desktop and vista wont allow me to
delete it some files are read only and wont allow me to change the file
attribute. Goes through some permissions elevation and then gets into
loop like Retry.

Very frustrating.

What can I do.

You can point and right click and chose User Administration.
