cannot delete file

i'm trying to delete a video file. but every time i try
to delete it i get this message that says it is being
used by a program or another person even though i have no
applications running. it is a 180 mb file and is taking
up a lot of space on my c drive. it might be corrupted.
does anyone know how to proceed?

Hi David,

Open the media player, remove the file from the playlist. Then close it and
retry deleting it. If it still doesn't work, see this from MVP Kelly:
