Cannot delete emails.

Help, I cannot delete my incoming emails. I get a pop up reading "messaging
interface has returned an unknown errow. If problem persist restart outlook.
But that doesn't work.
 
Does it work if you start Outlook in Safe Mode? Go to the Start menu, click
Run, then type outlook.exe /safe in the box and click Run.

What version of Outlook are you using? If you're using Outlook 2002 or
earlier, what is the size of your .PST file?
