cannot delete bad file

i downloaded an incomplete or corrupt .avi file and i
cannot delete it. it keeps showing 'file in use by other
program/user' but it is not. tried numerous ways to clear
with no luck.

sound familiar to anyone?

Have you tried rebooting first and then deleting? Or deleting in safe mode.
Or log in under another account then deleting?

try deleting the file in SAFE MODE

Hi,

Open Windows Media Player, remove that file from the playlist. Close WMP,
then try deleting the file.
