Cannot copy *.pst file to CD

I am knowledgable about the process of copying a PST file to a CD for use on
another comupter. However, I am now repeatedly getting this error message
when I try to copy a PST file that I have created on one computer to the hard
drive of a second computer:
"Error Coying file or folder
Cannot copy Outlook backup: Invalid MS-DOS function"

After several tries, it will finally work, after I have used up three or
four CD's unsuccessfully. What is causing this and how can I solve the
problem? I will appreciate advice.

This seems to be a problem for some CD writers/burning software and is not
an Outlook issue. What burning software are you using?

I just use Windows Explorer to try copy the one single file. I just tried to
copy it onto a different computer and I got a different error message. That
message also said it could not copy the fle but it made a reference to "CRC
cyclic redundancy."

Copy it to the burner?

This is an indication that the burn was damaged somehow.
