Cannot copy files (videos) to a DD-RW disc

When I try to write (copy) files to my DVD drive i get the following error
"Windows is currently using the CD. Please wait before starting the CD
Wizard". Any one have a solution?

You cannot use XP to write (copy) files on a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc. You can
only copy to a CD-R or CD-RW.
To copy to a DVD you need software capable of doing this, such as Nero,
Roxio, etc.
If your computer came with a DVD-R/DVD-RW drive, you probably have software
already installed to copy to this drive.
