Since monday morning i have ben unable to connect to the internet. After
speaking with my broadband provider telewest they said it was a problem with
my DHCP but coould not tell me how to fix it. I have tried creating a new
connection with the connection wizard .That didn't work. I have also tried
using the network diognostic tool in help and support. This got to 99% then
stopped. Looking at my network connection details i seem to have lost my
Default gatway, DNS server and WINS Server. I know my modem work fine as i
have borrowed a laptop and connected this up to my modem and i works fine.
Can any please help me sort out this problem. Thanks

Were going to need a little more information. What type of internet do you
have, cable or DSL. Do you have a Static IP address? What router and modem
are you using...and so on

Hi im windows xp home sp2 with mcafee 2006. Im using internet explorer 6.
As far as i know i have an ADSL connection with a webstar epc2100 series
cable modem by sientific atlanta. I have a static IP address provided by
tewest broadband (blueyonder).
The modem works fine on the laptop i have borrowed. So i think it is some
kind of windows problem.
Please let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks
