Hello,
I've created a child DC for a remote office of ours to
run local DNS as well in a test env at our HQ.
I've run through the MS doc
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000s
erv/deploy/confeat/addcont.mspx#XSLTsection125121120120)
detailing this procedure, which appears to heva completed
successfuly. However, there is a problem:
1] From a machine on the parent domain, I can browse (My
Network Places on WinXP) to network resources on the
child domain.
2] I am unable to browse (in the same fashion) network
resources on the parent domain from any host joined to
the child domain, nor the child DC itself.
3] From any host on the child domain, I *can* run
\\parent_domain_server, which works for some reason.
Why am I unable to access / see servers on the parent
domain from the child domain? Thanks for the time.
