Hi I have a laptop that will not boot into safe mode. I get as far as the
signon page but when I click on the user name or administrator the computer
just reboots.
It was OK until I updated it from windows updates
any suggestions. Windows xp home

Will it boot normally?

If so then use System Restore to set it back to the point just prior
to the install of the latest updates.

Good luck

I have the same problem.
It was fine until installing windows update. After that, explorer kept
crashing. Used System restore to go back to a previous setting. That
worked for a day, then the next day, due to domain group policy it
reinstalled the udpates, and now windows wont even boot, either in
normal, safe, last good or any other configuration.
It reboots itself halfway through any of those boot methods.
Anyway to use system restore in another way?
THX.
