cannot access web pages

i use aol and after a while on aol i lose access to webpages and my buddylist
disappears.this is a gradual action and not instant .i am still connected to
the internet an can stay in chatrooms etc but web pages cannot load.if i
access a webpage i get the usual message of "internet explorercant connect,
action cancelled".
thank you to those that reply to this i really appreciate it.
