I have a computer that would not load windows or would hang in explorer. I
got to the task manager and found a application called xplsass.exe trying to
start. I stopped it then fuond it in the system32 directory and deleted it. I
also serched the registery and deleted all referances to it or its partner
winups.exe. the computer now starts and runs fine but I canot acess any web
pages on the internet. I can get access the network web pages just not
anything on the internet.

This sound like you had spy ware you still may have some on computers. If can
some how install a anti-spyware package with it being on the network do that
first and then remove all spyware. next put back on the network and check
your internet connect setting in IE the software most likely change it.

Hope this help

Right, actually I've learned it is a new Worm virus going around I found some
directions on deleting it but now explorer times out whenever I try to access
the web. It must have made changes to a configuration file and I'm not savvy
enough to know what or where to look. I have run both Norton anti virus with
the 11/11 definitions and SpyBot with no success.

This sounds like the problem that I have, except, I am unable to even acess
the network. What is going on?
