Cannot access Outlook contacts in WORD

A

ANNE

WinXP and Office 2002

My contact lists (and Outlook address book) are set up properly in
Outlook. Clicking on the address book icon correctly brings up all
contact lists.

However, when I open WORD, and click on the address book icon, I get:
"Logon failed. You must log on to MS Exchange to access the address
book." Unspecified error.
I cannot open the address book in WORD.

I ran the mapifix program; no help.

How can I get WORD to recognize the Outlook address book?

You appear not to have the Outlook Address Book configured correctly for
your default Outlook profile. Make sure your Outlook/Word versions match,
that Outlook is your default mail program and Contacts manager, and that
your default Outlook profile contains the Outlook Address Book correctly
configured to show the Contacts Folder in a local PST file.

Also, you never mentioned what mail transport you are using in your default
profile.
You need to if you want help.
