Hello Everyone,

Is there anyone out there that can help with a problem with IE 6 SP2?

The problem I am having is when I click on the yellow shield in the systray,
it just goes away for about 15 seconds, then pops right back up in the
systray and no updates are installed..

So... I navigated to Microsofts Update Site
(http://update.microsoft.com/microso....com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us)...
and I get the error shown below:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please change your Internet Explorer security settings

To save changes to your settings for this website, you need to enable
userdata persistence for Internet Explorer. Complete the steps below, and
then click Change settings to the left and try saving your changes again.
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, click the Internet security zone icon, and then
click Custom Level.
In the Settings dialog box, scroll to the Miscellaneous section.
Under Userdata persistence , select Enable.
Click OK and when the security warning dialog box appears, click Yes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is though, i went to my security settings and that setting was
already enablede.... so I did the following:

** Basically tried setting all Internet and Trusted Sites security settings
to "enabled"...

** Added the Microsoft Update URL to the Trusted Sites section...

I still get the same error every time..

Can anyone help?
