"cancel meeting" option is not listed

I am the organizer for a meeting that i need to cancel, however the
cacel meeting option is not listed under actions. Running outlook
2003.. Any suggestions PLEASE!
 
Not sure about this but has anyone accepted the meeting yet?
 
Yes they have, and i forgot to mention that it is a re-occurring weekly
meeting.
 
Can you open single instance of the meeting and cancel it (as opposed to
opening the whole series).
 
I can open like that, but the option to cancel is still gone. I can use
the X (delete) function, but when i go to the menu bar, the cancel
option is gone.
