Can WindowsXP support for 2 different kinds of language at the same time?

Hi all,

I'm now using French version WindowsXP, but I configured
Chinese(GB2312) as my default language. Since I need to work with
chinese environment. However, sometimes I also have to use some french
software as well. At that time, I find it appear lots of error
characters in french software interface. So I have to change my
default language to french to make my french software work. But then
it can't display chinese files correctly.
Could you please give me some idea about this issue? Can WindowsXP
support for 2 different kinds of language at the same time?
Any help would be appreciated.

Windows XP sets up French as the primary language and allows for others [in your case Chinese] to be supported

In your case you have switched Windows to operate under the secondary language, which ignores the French character set

So work in French and your chinese applications will function correctly [ giving Character set support ].

Hi,

Download the MUI from Microsoft and install into your computer. Setup two
accounts one for french and one for chinese and then you can use Fast User
Switching to switch between the two. What MUI does is translate the whole
Windows UI and some common dialogs into the selected language for the whole
session. So if you want to switch back from chinese to french you have to
change the setings, logout and login. That's why I suggest one account is
set to use normal french interface and one account is set to use chinese
interface and then you can use Fast User switching to switch between them.
