Can Win 95 Software be converted for use in Win XP?

Hi, I have some great National Geographic Map CDs that run only on Win 95. I
have upgraded to Win XP Pro and they won't run. Is there anything that I can
do so that they can run on XP? Thanks.

Instead of doubleclicking to start it, try right click, hit properties,
click Compatability, and check the box for "Run this program in
compatability mode for: Windows 95" You might have to set some other
options there, trial and error is your friend.

If you can't get it to work in Windows, you might also try getting it to run
in Wine on Linux. Wine is getting pretty good about being binary
compatible with Win9X these days and starting to make inroads on the NT
front (GTA: San Andreas runs in Wine now, for example).
