Can this be done?

I have my database set up and I have my control box set to pull records from
my table/query and it works, but I was wondering if there was a way that you
can type the name in and the information will come up. I have tried and
nothing else changes but the name that I type in.
 
You might try adding an unbound combobox.
In the wizard, select the last option, to go to a record based on the
selection in the combobox.
The wizard will walk you through setting up your combobox correctly.
