can`t read chinese characters

Hi,
I recently got this game and the language is writen in
chinese, I cannot read it, it shows as a bunch of symbols
or something, is there some option to change or software
to install to help me read the chinese characters in the
game?

Install the correct charsets in Regional and Language Options in the Control
Panel, under Languages.

If the programme is not Unicode compatible you'll have to set Chinese as
your default language in the 'Advanced' tab, this may well effect other
programmes you use.
