can`t open network status in windows xp

Hi,
all of a sudden I can't open (double-clicking) any of my network
connections in Windows Xp sp2.Nothing shows up. It shows up when making
a shortcut to any network connection but that's not the way it should
work. I've search in gloogle for any solutions and tried all of the but
the didn't work.

Any help?
