You are trying to install from Win98 boot disk in DOS. You need to either
get WinXP SP1 setup boot disks from Microsoft.com or boot from CD-ROM WinXP
CD. You can also run Setup off WinXP CD in Windows.

Do you have XP installed on your computer? Of course,
right? Are you trying to do the SP1 from Win Update-- if
you are, don't . Go to the downloads page and download
SP1 and manually intstall. (save it to your disk and run
it from there) I've seen this same thing happen using Win
Update.
