can someone help me

For some reason I have lost all of my Icons short cuts
from my desktop when I start my computer.I no where they
are but I cant get them back to where they were.They are
sitting in desktop and I have tried to drage them back
and tried to send to desktop but all it does is create
another one in desktop.Can someone help me to understand
first.How did I lose them and second how do i get them
back.Thank You
 
Try doing a System Restore to a previous date before using TweakUI.
 
Delete the tweakui part, Brian
Just do a System Restore to a previous date.
 
right click on the deskto
highlight "arrange icons by
make sure "show desktop icons" is checked
 
Right click on your desktop
Click on properties
Click desktop then
Click on customize desktop
Then check the items to show on your desktop
