I'm having problems publishing large files (around a meg or more) using
FrontPage 2002. I get disconnected and then FrontPage is screwed up until I
reboot. Our webhost provider swares its a FrontPage problem. Anyone know of
any limits to FrontPage when it comes to publishing files?

Some users have report this issue, which MS is aware of, but no solution at this time other than to
use a FTP application to upload these large file to a subweb/site.

Hi Joe,

FP using HTTP which has a connection time limit. For very large files I would suggest that you create a separate within the web tree
for them then us FTP to move them to the server. Once on the server connect to it with FP and do Tools | Recalc Hyperlinks so that
FP knows that they exist in its meta dictionaries.

When trying to import or publish a file with a size greater than 1 MB, you
receive the following error:

"An error occurred accessing your FrontPage web files. Authors - if
authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this
server's site. Webmasters - please see the server's system log for more
details."

Do you have a suggested FTP tool you use? What's the difference between FTP
and using Explorer to copy the file from my c:\ drive to our website? Using
Explorer, it seems to start to do the copy, but it gets hung up just list FP.
