Can powerpoint use "secure wma format music", like Napster downloa

I have downloaded a bunch of napster music files that I am trying to link to
a powerpoint presentation. When I try to insert music, it works fine with
CDs and with music on my hard drive other than Napster. If I try to use
files from Napster, it won't work. Napster says it should work if Powerpoint
will accept "secure WMA format music." Can anyone answer this? I'm using
ppt 2002.

I don't know what "secure WMA format music" is, but it sounds to me as if
some kind of digital rights management stuff has been applied. If that's the
case, then no, PPT won't play it.

While it is *possible*, it's not very practical. To do it you would need to
install the WMP activex control on your slide (via the toolbox), and then
allow WMP to go to the web site to recieve authorization to play the file on
YOUR machine, not any other machine. If you send the file to another
machine the DRM feature would see it as a "pirated" version and refuse to
play it.
