After installation of SP2 try to check for other updates or any other sites and I get page can't be displayed. I can ping the sites with no problem. Plugged into LAN with static IP. All other network applications and drive mapping work fine. Uninstalling SP2 and computer surfs no problem.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated

I am having the same problem with XP Home.

I have seen this on 3 different computers, both broadband and dialup
connections.
Email access works, ping, tracert, etc all work but not IE.

I had the ability to try an uninstall on one machine, but it didn't fix
anything. I was able to reinstall XP SP1 and that worked.

Any further details?
