Can not send

Hi , I am having trouble sending emails ( receiving is OK)

Using Windows Vista Premium / Windows mail ver 6.0.6000.16386 (
vista_rtm.061101-2205)

from my dha-ltd.co.uk account, I get messages like : --

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was (I have deleted this email address for
privacy ). Subject 'Fw: East London ', Account: 'mail.dha-ltd.co.uk',
Server: 'smtp.outitgoes.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relay
not permitted', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number:
0x800CCC79


I have checked my settings they appear OK

I note it says " relay not permitted ", but I have sent to this address
before

This email account works OK via my Blackberry

Any ideas please

Are you connecting to the Internet via your usual connection?
Who is your ISP?
I would ASSume that your Blackberry is using your telecom SMTP server to
send?

Try Tools>accounts>select your mail.dha-ltd.co.uk account>properties>server
tab, change smtp.outitgoes.com to smtp.ntlworld.com >apply/ok.

Now try sending?

Tell us how it works out, include any error message if it fails please.
 
Hi Steve

outitgoes is the server I use for my domain name emails, but suddenly the
problem has gone away, and all is working !

Ah well two day panic for naught, just feel sorry for all those people
that may have received multitudes of emails I have sent and resent that have
been perhaps stuck in the ether

Ah well .... Atleast my Santa's list should have arrived now (LOL)
