Hi Herrbie,
When you run this point it to your CD/DVD drive. You can only do this once than you will have to reboot to do another
drive.
On your SFC problem make sure you SourcePath is pointing to your C:windows\I386 folder and when it asks for the CD just
hit skip and continue. I have an OEM Version so I had to copy the I386 folder from Recovery Disk but afterward only had
6 files that were not found in Event Viewer.Clear the System Event Viewer first it will make it easier to see what it
missed. This SFC usually only fixes DLL files as far as I know.
I attaches an article don't know if it will get to you and I can't remember the address but if you don't get it I will
try to copy and paste the registry location. There are other fixes on this also.
Anyhow it now works for me.Hope this helps?
Tried method 2 but ended up with the same result, however have noticed
that my CD-ROM is not working correctly, which ever DVD you insert into
the
drive it will not auto run and you have to go into My Comp right click
the
CD-ROM, click open and then double click the TS folder to get the disc
to
play.I only mention this because when the SFC box pops up and you click
on
"More Infomation " it states that a possible cause of SFC not working is
a faulty CD-Rom,so it could well be a CD-ROM problem and not the SFC.
Have a good day,
