can not open windows mail anymore

When I try to access windows mail I receive an error: Can not load contact
file.
and if try to access contacts directly it doesn’t work but I see my contact
file in the explorer.
How can I set the path so windows mail reconaice it?
It is affecting also Windows Live mail and Windows live messenger.
Thanks a lot

Does anyone know how to reinstall Windows mail without installing all
Windows vista?

Try this:
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Contacts". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
