can not open two windows while surfing the internet

My Aunt has a problem with internet explorer.She can not open two webpages.
In order to open two or more webpages she needs to hold the second webpage
open by using the control key otherwise the second window will close.How do I
fix this problemI uninstalled the internet explorer 7 and with internet
explorer 6 still has the same problem.Any Idea

Try going to internet options..advanced tab and uncheck 'reuse windows
for launching shortcuts'.
